Truemeds Saves Money Through Generics, Not Just Coupons
Truemeds is an online pharmacy built around generic substitutes: medicines with the same salt composition, strength and dosage form as the branded version on your prescription. Truemeds says switching can cut your bill by up to 51%, a saving separate from any offer you use at checkout.
Substitution isn't automatic. Under Truemeds' terms, a generic is swapped in only when your doctor allows an equivalent, or after a teleconsultation with a Truemeds doctor and with your consent.
What You Need to Place an Order
Prescription medicines need a valid prescription from a doctor registered in India, uploaded with the order. If it doesn't arrive within 24 hours, Truemeds may cancel the order, and a pharmacist checks every prescription against what you ordered.
Truemeds also offers free online consultations with a panel of more than 600 doctors, useful if you want a second opinion before accepting a generic. You can order on the website or on the Android and iOS apps.
Delivery, Returns and the Subscription Catch
Truemeds delivers to more than 19,000 pin codes across over 1,000 cities in India. Missing, damaged or wrong medicines have to be reported within 15 days of delivery, and refunds are processed within 48 hours of the complaint being verified.
Refrigerated medicines and electronic products can't be returned, and Truemeds accepts no liability once a package has been opened after delivery. If you buy on a subscription plan, note that Truemeds' terms say offers can't be combined with subscription orders.
